The swim is one 1.9 km loop of the Hardtsee in Ubstadt-Weiher, with transition 1 about 100 m from the exit. The bike is a single 90 km loop through the forests and vineyards of the Kraichgau, which the organiser calls the land of 1,000 hills. The run is three laps through Bad Schönborn and its Kurpark.

The race page gives an average water temperature of 23 °C. The course page measured the lake at 19 °C in 2024 and 18 °C in 2025, with no reading for 2026. Air highs on race day went from 17 °C in 2025 to 30 °C in 2026. The 5150 Kraichgau is held on the same day, with its own area in transition.
