One climb, a long transition

The swim is a single loop from Cervia's central beach, out along the shore and back. The bike is two loops through the Romagna countryside and the Salt Pans Nature Park, with a short climb to Bertinoro. The organiser describes the rest of the bike as mostly flat.

The transition is almost 500 m long, with about 100 m from the water exit to the bike park. The marathon is four laps of about 10 km through Cervia and Milano Marittima.
