How the day is laid out
The swim is held in a lake. The wetsuit call is made on race morning, against the temperature measured then.
The organiser publishes 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km on the bike and 42 km of running.
Everyone starts the swim together, in a mass start.
The bike course is hilly.
The run course is hilly.
Typical temperatures for the month run from 15 to 24 °C.
The race was first held in 2013.
This is an extreme triathlon: the course is chosen for its terrain and its climbing, not for speed, and self-sufficiency and a support crew are part of the rules.
Lottery and personal supporter
The organiser states that all entries are raffled and that every athlete needs a personal supporter. Registration for the 2027 lottery runs from 31 October 2026 at 00:01; the XTRI World Tour gives 15 November 2026 at 23:59 CET as the closing time. Details on suixtri.com.
